My Photographic Passions
I’ve always had an artistic gift, and have had the opportunity to use this artistic vision predominately through camera lenses.

Working in Infrared…
Back in about 2022 I took the leap in converting one of my digital cameras to a full spectrum infrared camera. This meant a decision that could not be reversed. The camera that I chose was the Canon RP which was one of the original new “R” mount cameras which could share the same lenses as my other “R” cameras. Additionally, this particular camera did not have the sensor curtain allowing for the addition of different infrared filters directly in front of the sensor.
Making this tough decision turns out to be one of the best decisions of my photographic journey, and the photos you will see will give you a new perspective on what is possible.
Working in the Colorless…
For me “Colorless” or Black and White takes on two forms. Black and white using a traditional digital camera or even a film camera with Black and White film. The second method is using my Infrared camera (as discussed above) and in the color swap processing for Infrared photos I push it to Infrared Black and White. The end results of some of these images can be very compelling.

Working in traditional color…
I worked in color and black and white starting back in the film days with a huge purchase for me at the time when it was first introduced, the Canon A1. It was one of the first cameras back at that time to have a digital readout in the viewfinder.
Unfortunately, that camera and lenses were stolen when the house was robbed and I fell out of photography. Years later I decided to restart my journey and purchased an example of that very camera even though digital cameras, including mirrorless cameras were on the rise. But starting back in film taught me patience and observation of the world around me.
